Full Job Description
Applicants will be required to provide a flexible, high quality service extending care and consideration to patients, staff and visitors as well as responding and managing challenging situations that will require prompt and appropriate action in a courteous and helpful manner, The post forms part of an in-house service providing security for the Trust. The primary role will be to maintain a visible and effective high profile presence to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff, as well as the protection of property across both hospital sites.
The post holder will also need to ensure that car parks on the hospital grounds are operational and used effectively and correctly by visitors and staff. The successful applicant will need to ensure all relevant incidents that involve aggression or violence; loss of equipment, damage to property etc. are reported immediately on the respective incident forms and forwarded for the attention of the Security Manager.
The post holder must hold a full current clean driving licence and have previous knowledge of conflict resolution within a healthcare environment. Full training in Physical Intervention within the clinical setting will be provided.
