Summary
Broxtowe Borough Council is situated in the heart of the East Midlands, only minutes away from the City of Nottingham. The Borough has a diverse range of communities from dynamic city suburbs to historic mining towns and rural villages.
Candidates must successfully complete the vetting process by Nottinghamshire Police before a contract is offered as the role is based within Police Stations. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional able to use a wide range of communication and personal skills to engage with agencies, young people and the community with a knowledge of projects to improve the lives of young people and of diversionary interventions available to reduce violence and ASB and promote community cohesion.
You will need to be able to communicate with young people, the general public, partner agencies and Members of the Council in a tactful and confident manner and be able to demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving. You must have excellent organisational skills, working both in a team and on your own initiative and you must be willing to work flexibly as out of hours work may be required based on service delivery needs.
Broxtowe Borough Council offers excellent benefits including membership of the local government pension scheme and discount health and fitness membership. The Council also offers a generous holiday entitlement (minimum of 28 days) as well as agile working.
If this sounds like an opportunity you'd be interested in, we look forward to hearing from you.
