Full Job Description
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about justice? Join #TeamNP and play a key support role in our major investigations. You'll transcribe various media recordings-from suspect interviews to body-worn video footage-accurately and promptly, ensuring they are well-presented and accessible. Additionally, you'll type and proofread documents, statements, and other materials using the HOLMES system or other word processing tools, providing comprehensive administrative support to our Major Investigation Team. What you'll do
+ Transcribe in an accurate, well presented, accessible and timely manner, media recordings in varying formats.
+ Type and proof read documents, statements and other written material into the correct format, either on the computerised HOLMES system or other word processing systems within a Major Incident Room
+ Use and research the HOLMES database to carry out role and support enquiry officers with up to date information.
+ Attend and take part in briefings.
+ Work to tight deadlines to facilitate timely file submission.

If your application is successful, we'll ask you to complete a Management Vetting (MV) form, therefore you must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 5 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information, and references.
+ RSA level 3 or OCR level 3 Text processing or equivalent qualification.
+ Skilled in the use of specialist IT packages, systems and/or databases to fulfil role requirements. Successful completion of MIR Typist training course.
+ Able to appropriately prioritise and plan own work.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team to achieve shared objectives, demonstrating awareness of individual differences and providing support and advice as required Able to proactively develop effective working relationships with colleagues, partners and other stakeholders.
+ Good communication skills with the ability to listen, empathise, provide support and adapt language, form, and message to meet the needs of different people / audiences.
+ Able to work in a highly pressured environment and deal with sensitive and distressing information.
