Full Job Description
Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Lecturer in Carpentry to join the team at HMP Portland. Successful candidates for this position may be eligible for a 'Golden Hello' payment of up to £2,000. (subject to Weston College Group Policy, please contact for further information). This is a part-time position working up to 18.5 hours per week. The actual working hours / days will be discussed with the successful applicant. Please note: the salary and holiday hours as shown on the Job Description are based on working 18.5 hours per week, however we will consider applications from people who want to work less hours per week. Day to day duties
- Organisational and administrative work.
- Preparation, assessment and marking.
- Developing and maintaining a full course file, including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
- Developing and completing ILPs and contextual statements to monitor individual learner progress.
A degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work. - Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
