Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly merged Marketing Team at Weymouth and Kingston Maurward College as Marketing Executive (Schools Liaison and Events). This varied role will develop new and strengthen existing relationships with schools and providers, alongside organising events to promote the newly merged College to prospective students and stakeholders. The role is essential in leveraging the combined outreach strengths of Weymouth and Kingston Maurward College to the maximum. The post-holder will also work in partnership with the Head of Marketing on planning events, such as open days, taster sessions and community events, to establish the College's presence as a leading further education provider in the region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Education Partnership Development - attend school-based promotional events across Dorset and surrounding areas to promote the College and the courses and other options available i.e. careers fairs, assemblies, talks and mock interviews.
  • Event Planning and Management - ensure all events effectively promote the College's vision, strengths, and offerings, with an emphasis on engaging prospective students and their families.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - develop and deliver presentations to schools, parents, and prospective students that highlight the College's benefits and opportunities.
  • Feedback and Continuous Improvement - gather feedback from attendees at events and from school partners to continuously refine event offerings and outreach approaches.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork - work closely with internal stakeholders, including academic and support staff, to coordinate their involvement in events.
  • Community Presence and Promotion - Represent the College at community events, fairs, and school activities to strengthen the College's presence in the community.

A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Event Management, Communications or a related discipline is essential for the role, so if you hold this and are enthusiastic with a passion and commitment to enhance and develop the College's presence in schools and the wider community, we would love to hear from you!
