Full Job Description
Southport Education Group is seeking a dedicated Progress Tutor to support students in their personal development and academic progress. About the Role You will deliver weekly group sessions on key themes such as personal growth and safeguarding, as part of the College's tutorial programme. Alongside this, you will provide one-to-one support to a caseload of students, monitoring attendance and progress, and setting meaningful targets to promote achievement. Working closely with Careers Co-ordinators, you'll provide advice and guidance to help students progress to positive destinations within or beyond the college. You'll also collaborate with Student Engagement Officers to support student welfare and implement strategies to boost retention and achievement including liaison with parents, carers, and external agencies. About you The successful candidate will possess experience gained within an educational setting, particularly supporting 16-18-year-olds. A background in delivering effective student support is essential.
