Further Information
We're seeking to appoint an experienced teacher to lead Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum.
The successful candidate will be accountable for leading, managing and developing the MFL subject area and effectively manage teaching and support staff within this area. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to take their first steps into middle leadership, where they will be supported to grow and mould their own practice.
We're looking for a teacher who can inspire and influence and who has:
- Experience working with a team of colleagues to achieve shared priorities.
- Clear vision and passion for the design and delivery of an engaging MFL curriculum.
- Effective classroom management skills with the ability to encourage high standards and expectations of all our learners.
St Hild's Church of England School is in an exciting phase of its development and has high ambition for its pupils. With a strong Christian ethos we work effectively across the whole community to improve and enrich the lives of children.
We are incredibly proud to be an inclusive school with a higher than average number of children who have additional needs. As a result we prioritise high quality classroom teaching and provide bespoke support where appropriate.
Our school is one of eight primary and secondary schools within the NEAT Academy Trust family of schools. At the heart of our trust is the aim to nurture, educate, achieve and transform the lives of all young people within the communities we serve across the North East.
In return we offer:
- Great opportunities for continuing professional development and a career pathway across the trust.
- A team of hardworking, dedicated and friendly staff where everyone is valued.
- The benefit of working in a highly collaborative multi academy trust.
- Membership of the Teachers' Pension Scheme which the trust also contributes to on your behalf.
- Recognition of previous service with other schools, academies, local government etc.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), delivered by Health Assured - the UK and Irelands leading wellbeing provider.
- Good public transport links via Tyne and Wear Metro and road links from the A19 and A1058 Coast Road.
Interested? If you would like to join us and feel you could thrive here, then please read the accompanying job description and person specification and complete an application form by clicking 'apply now' no later than midnight Tuesday 27th May 2025.
Expected interview dates - Friday 30th May 2025
NEAT is committed to safer recruitment practice and promoting the welfare of children and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of pre-employment checks.
