Full Job Description

We are looking for a physiotherapist, with a clinical background in neurological or cardiorespiratory physiotherapy to develop and deliver high quality learning and teaching to the Integrated Masters in Physiotherapy programme at Plymouth Marjon University. You must be a registered physiotherapist of the Health & Care Professions Council and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, with experiences working in the National Health Service. You will be joining a team of highly motivated multi-disciplinary professionals, duties will include:

  • To contribute to the development and operation of the Marjon Physiotherapy Clinic.
  • Supervise the physiotherapy students in the student-led Marjon physiotherapy clinic to deliver an effective service for clients and an excellent learning opportunity for students.
  • Module leadership developing and managing teaching specific modules across all academic years
  • Contributing to all areas of academic practice such as personal development tutoring (PDT), placement development and support, knowledge exchange and/or research activities.
  • Contributing to delivery and development of our onsite physiotherapy and wellbeing clinics.
  • We are excited to launch a new student-led Physiotherapy Clinic with a specialist focus on neurological rehabilitation, and we're looking for dedicated Lecturer Practitioner in Physiotherapy to be part of this exciting initiative. Running for 36 weeks a year in line with student placement blocks, this post offers a valuable opportunity to supervise and mentor students as they gain essential hands-on experience. More than just a learning environment, the clinic will actively serve the local community-providing high-quality, person-centred care at an affordable price to those who need it most. We continue to experience significant development, and we have an ambitious learning, research and engagement agenda. Staff are encouraged and supported to be innovative in their teaching, enabling students to thrive and build firm foundations in their chosen field., Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but you will need to maintain strong campus links and be available on-site when needed. Supporting our people: At Marjon, we are firmly committed to supporting every member of staff who works for us. Our Balance programme of health and wellbeing activities aims to help you to look after your physical health, nutritional health, mental health and social health. We recognise that our recruitment might bring in staff who are new to higher education and are bringing knowledge and expertise from other fields and practice. We want to ensure that all our academic staff are appropriately qualified to teach in HE and have the confidence to do so; to support this, we offer a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) to all new teaching staff without an existing teaching qualification. This provides our new staff with an opportunity to develop their understanding and practice of learning, teaching and pedagogic research/research management in higher education, and enables us to maintain our high standards of teaching.

Disability Confident About Disability Confident A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer. It is important to note that in certain recruitment situations such as high-volume, seasonal and high-peak times, the employer may wish to limit the overall numbers of interviews offered to both disabled people and non-disabled people. For more details please go to .

The starting salary will be from £37,099.00 per annum(grade 7), depending on qualifications and experience. (From 01 July 2025, the starting salary will be from £38,249.00 per annum)
