Lecturer in Land Based Agriculture Specialism
14.4 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£13,420 - £16,029 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Agriculture, Countryside and Environment team, to deliver across our land based provision, but primarily on our Agriculture Technical qualifications. The technicals offer students wishing to enter the agriculture industry, a dynamic opportunity to study the theorectical components of the industry, whilst developing their practical skills working with industry partners, and on our vast, diverse estate.
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable agriculture lecturer to inspire and educate the next generation of agricultural professionals. You will deliver engaging and practical lessons across a range of agriculture-related subjects, including crop production, livestock management, sustainable farming practices, and estate management, ideally with a specialism in plant and soil science. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning sessions, developing and assessing coursework/practical assignments, supporting students with academic and pastoral guidance, and contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
Applicants should have significant industry experience and/or a degree in a relevant discipline. Ideally applicants should be a qualified teacher or, if not, have the commitment to obtain an appropriate qualification. Applicants should also have excellent communication and organisation skills in addition to a commitment to student success and inclusive education.
