We are seeking a dedicated Classroom Support professional with SEN experience to join our team and make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in managing challenging behavior and maintaining a safe, structured learning environment
- Deliver targeted interventions to support students' social, emotional, and mental health development
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies
- Build positive relationships with students, helping them develop resilience, coping skills, and self-regulation
- Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing
Person Specification:
- Proven experience working with secondary students with SEN, preferably in SEMH or PRU settings
- Skilled in managing challenging behavior with patience, consistency, and empathy
- Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs in adolescents
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, resilient, and adaptable
