Teaching Assistant

Salary: NJC Grade C: £24,790 - £25,584 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked).
Working Pattern: This is a fixed term position working 32 hours and 5 minutes per week (Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.15pm), 39 weeks per year until 31/08/2026.
South Molton United C of E Primary School are seeking a Teaching Assistant for a fixed term post to start in September 2025. You will need to be enthusiastic, patient, calm, flexible and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. You will join our professional and skilled team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants in this highly positive learning environment.
The school requires an individual who is:
- Calm, nurturing and open minded and can improve the outcomes for children
- Can make the curriculum both exciting and enticing whilst personalising it to the individual needs of children to overcome the barriers to learning
- Shows commitment, enthusiasm and empathy whilst maintaining consistent behaviour management strategies
- Has the ability and initiative to work with independence and is flexible to work as part of the school staff team and the wider community of professionals.
