Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a full time Humanities Teacher to join us in September 2025.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach Philosophy, Theology and Ethics (Religious Studies) across the full age and ability range. In addition, the successful candidate would be expected to teach GCSE Sociology.

The successful candidate may also be required to teach some Geography and History.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and have a passion for Humanities. We are interested to hear from professionals that have the ability to make an impact in the classroom and beyond, a track record of high quality outcomes in the classroom and for someone who has a commitment to students of all abilities in our comprehensive secondary school. We are open to considering experienced teachers, Early Careers Teachers or non-qualified teachers with relevant teaching experience.

What the school offers its staff

The school is a member of The Harbour Schools Partnership, a recently merged entity of previously The Tarka Learning Partnership and Ventrus. This allows for excellent collaboration between partner schools, staff development and primary/secondary partnership working across Devon.
