Full Job Description
The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable BTEC Music Lecturer to join our dynamic Music department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, with hands-on experience in industry-standard music production software, such as Logic 11, Pro Tools and Ableton Live. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across BTEC Level 2 and 3 Music courses.
- Plan and assess coursework in line with BTEC specifications.
- Provide guidance, feedback and support to students in both practical and theoretical aspects of music
- Use music software to facilitate learning in areas such as composition, recording, mixing, and production.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Support a range of trips, gigs and extra-curriculum events across the year. Who You Are: With a relevant degree (or equivalent) and a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards this), the successful candidate must have proven experience of teaching and preparing relevant materials. You must have an awareness of the pastoral and academic needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and a commitment to inclusive education. What We Offer:
