To teach cared for children one to one and in small groups either in schools, community venues or in their homes. Subjects will be English, mathematics and/or Science
To narrow the gap between cared for children and peers and improve educational outcomes.
Through effective liaison with schools, carers and other agencies, ensure that pupils makegood progressand enjoy positive outcomes.
To support children while waiting for a school place, or in times of reduced education
Tocontributeto the child's Personal Education Plan (PEP)

Northumberland County Council's Virtual School is recruiting for an enthusiastic, well motivated Secondary English or Maths teacher to support cared for children who may need additional tuition., The successful candidate will have experience and confidence working 1:1, in small groups in a range of settings e.g in the home, school and/or community.
