Full Job Description
In this role, you will lead on teaching and curriculum development with a focus on smart textiles, coding, digital workflows, and emerging material technologies. You'll deliver practice-based learning that supports students to explore how democratised technologies, textiles and culture could intersect in new ways within an ethical and futures framework.
You'll also engage in assessment, academic and pastoral support, and contribute to the strategic development of the course in line with industry advancements and university priorities.
We are looking for candidates with experience in teaching and assessment in Higher Education, holding a relevant undergraduate degree in design or a related subject. This role is particularly suited to individuals with a background in smart textiles, coding, and emerging material technologies, with an appetite for developing Textile Design education fit for future purpose.
Your experience should be also supported by evidence of research, knowledge exchange, or professional practice that contributes to advancing the discipline.
Strong communication skills, effective planning, and a collaborative approach are also essential.
