Teaching Assistant Level 2

The Vacancy
We are seeking a talented and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work alongside passionate teachers, providing vital support to our pupils.
About the role:
Initial contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with EHCPs, working with individuals and small groups, and assisting within whole classes to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience in nurture and behaviour management in a primary school setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to engage and motivate children, and a commitment to being an integral part of our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working 1:1 or with small groups
- Apply knowledge of various intervention programmes, including phonics.
- Foster a positive learning environment that boosts achievement, independence and self-esteem.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong subject knowledge in English and Maths
- Can support high-quality learning experiences for all pupils including those with special education needs.
- Understands safeguarding practices
- Is calm, patient, and sees the potential in all pupils
- Can work independently and collaboratively with other staff members
- Can confidently cover for the class teacher when needed (paid at the appropriate rate)
- Can engage children in play and structured activities during playtimes and lunchtimes.
- Brings a fun personality and good sense of humour.
