Full Job Description

Responsible for the despatch of the drivers and subcontractors' paperwork, with the highest level of customer service,

  • Engage with all external customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner ensuring that they are left with a lasting positive impression of our delivery service.
  • Answering and responding to all incoming calls in a prompt and polite manner.
  • Ensure that any external customer's queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner, following the relevant company guidelines.
  • Ensure inbound/outbound paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Booking in of external collections
  • Responsible for checking haulier invoices
  • Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet needs of Transport Administration.
  • Participate as an effective and willing team member in order to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Ensure that the Health and Safety of yourself, Customers and Colleagues is not at risk, by taking all reasonable steps to ensure safety in the workplace.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • The above list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to perform other duties or responsibilities which fall reasonably within the area of this job description or in accordance with operational requirements

  • C Grade in Maths and English Language GCSE or equivalent
  • CPS would be desirable but not essential
  • Administrative experience would be an advantage
  • Previous experience working in transport environment & geographical knowledge with drivers hours knowledge.
