Full Job Description

We are looking for a Leakage Project Technician to work proactively maintaining data loggers and meters to support the Individual Household Monitoring (IHM) project. This data directly links to providing end-of-year leakage allowances. What you'll do The role will focus primarily on providing accurate, consistent and reliable data within the field, which enables analysis and generation of our unmeasured customers' allowances for end-of-year leakage numbers. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • the fault diagnosis of data loggers and meters on site
  • repairing and replacing meters on site
  • finding and installing the most suitable and appropriate data logger to capture data for analysis purposes
  • taking ad-hoc consumption readings when required for the consumption monitoring team to produce customer-requested comparison reports
  • liaising with suppliers, where required, to discuss best practices and solutions for new and existing installs
  • communicating with the consumption monitoring team effectively to ensure records are up to date
  • providing cover for the Water Supply Data Co-ordinator when required and
  • interacting with customers to deliver exceptional customer service.

    Excellent and proven communication skills.
  • A meticulous approach to detail.
  • A thorough and practical understanding of meter installation and mechanics.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Data interpretation skills.
  • Flow and pressure data logging knowledge (desired but not essential).
  • Plumbing experience and understanding (desired but not essential).
