Full Job Description
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the home in accordance with statutory regulations and company policies.
- Ensure compliance within the Children's Act 1989 and 2004, Children's Home Regulations and associated regulations, the Children's Homes Quality Standards, and any recommendations outlined by Ofsted.
- Working in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people
- Manage and provide strong leadership and development to team of residential support workers
- Ensuring that each young person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that this plan is regularly reviewed.
- Ensure all weekly and monthly checks are in line with the self-evaluation cycle to support the Reg 45
- Managing the Ofsted inspection process to achieve the highest possible evaluation and Standards of Care
At least three years' experience working in a residential childcare setting, including one year in a supervisory or management role - NVQ 5 obtained or working towards in Leadership and Management Residential Childcare
- Full driving licence

Alcedo Care is looking for a Ofsted Registered Childrens Residential Manager for our new children's home in St Helens. This home is beautiful modern home and is an EBD home for 7- to 17-year-olds. This is a fantastic time to be joining our team with the expansion of our Ofsted service across the Northwest We are looking for people who we want to invest and develop with us to provide outstanding care to children and provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive in. The role will initially be within the St Helens home with the plan to then take over one of our other homes to become a dual home registered manager.
