Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young individuals with autism? Join our team at Orbis Education and Care as a Support Worker and be a part of a dedicated, compassionate community!

At Ty Seren we support adults with complex needs associated with autism. We embrace sector-leading practice and blend education, care and therapeutic support to provide tailor-made placements for unique individuals.

Much of your time will be spent supporting autistic adults with everyday tasks, helping them to lead as independent, fulfilling, and empowered lives as possible.

On the best days, you might be out exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside, enjoying day trips, preparing meals together, or simply making the most of everyday moments.

At other times, your role will be more care-focused-offering personal support with hygiene, daily routines, and emotional wellbeing. And on the tougher days, you'll provide calm, compassionate support when someone is feeling overwhelmed or distressed, ensuring they feel safe and respected.

Every day is different-and while some days will be challenging, the rewarding ones make it all worthwhile. You won't be on your own; we'll give you full training, guidance, and a supportive team so you can make a real difference every step of the way.

A typical day in the life of an Orbis Support Worker may include:

- Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment.
- Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
- Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
- Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs.
- Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise.
- General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.

A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
- A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
- A driving licence is essential for this role.
