We are looking for a kind, reliable and patient Personal Assistant (PA) to support our little boy, during school holidays.
He is 4 years old, autistic, and non-verbal. He communicates through hand-leading and loves nothing more than running, jumping, and having space to explore.
Support would take place either the home or in the local community - for example, going to SEN-friendly sessions or the park. He is in nappies, so some personal care will be required as part of the role. We are looking for someone with experience working with autistic children, although this is not essential.
A driving licence and access to a car would be ideal. We have 64 hours of funding to be used flexibly during the school holidays, but we're very happy to be flexible to suit your schedule. A full enhanced DBS is essential for this role.
Please note these vacancies are not employed through South Tyneside Council but through the individual service user.
This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
