Carmarthenshire County Council are pleased to advertise for the post of Regional Adoption Manager. Carmarthenshire is the host Local Authority for the regional adoption collaboration (RAC) for Mid and West Wales (covering Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys). This is a key strategic leadership post responsible for the management of the Adoption Mid and West Wales RAC and for the safe delivery of high-quality, effective adoption services across the region. The post holder is a key decision maker and should model the Council's commitment to improve the lives and the futures of children and young people. Working within a trauma informed, systemic and attachment aware practice model you will ensure this strength and relationship-based approach keeps children at the forefront of what we do, within a whole family focus. You will work closely alongside our partners, enhancing connections between community services, education, health and statutory social work to develop new ways of working together and deliver better and more seamless services. This is an exciting time to join a supportive, progressive and forward-thinking authority that values the experience and skills that you have. You will be a part of a wider organisation that prides ourselves on our strong focus on working with children, young people and their families to keep children safe and families together. We recognise that social work is professionally and personally demanding and requires considerable levels of skill, commitment, and enthusiasm. You can expect to be supported every step of the way to maintain your skills and continuous professional development. If you feel you can bring your experience, ideas, and leadership skills to support our vision, to keep children safe and families together, we want to hear from you.
Level 2 - You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level. Closing Date: 11/06/2025, 23:55 The Rewards We offer an excellent benefits package including:
- Competitive salary

- Generous annual leave entitlement with the option of purchasing addition annual leave
- Access to staff health and wellbeing support
- Personal development and career progression
