Full Job Description
Callander Primary School are seeking a motivated, self organised, confident Support for Learning Assistant to join our team from August 2025. The successful candidate will have support and inclusion for the young learners at the centre of all that they do. They will be proactive and forward thinking, friendly, nurturing and demonstrate effective team working skills. Our Support for Learning Assistants work closely with class teachers and senior leaders to plan activities and suitable supports for the children This can often be learning outside, in groups, individually or within the class setting. The post will also include supporting break times in the playground and the lunch hall. This part of the role requires the successful candidate to support the children to build good relationships as well as help them sort out the tricky times with friends. This is often done through games designed by the successful candidate or in restorative conversations with children. As part of the SLA team and the wider school team, the successful candidate will feel supported throughout their time at Callander Primary as well as being a positive team member and supporting others too.
- 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service)
