Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Youth Support Service as a Youth Worker. We are looking for someone who has extensive experience of working with targeted and vulnerable young people. The successful candidate will work with a team of youth workers to plan, deliver and evaluate targeted diverse youth work programmes via 1;1's or in a group work setting within a geographical location. These projects are delivered via detached, outreach or building based and promote/empower targeted and vulnerable young people to participate to gain positive outcomes in personal, social, health and well-being and educational development. A key part of the job is to measure impact and evidence the outcomes for young people in line with Cheshire East Early Help Strategy and project plans. The successful person:
- Updates and implements risk assessments.
- Ensures youth work is carried out in line with Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safe delivery of services to Young People.
- Ensures all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, and young people are safe from harm or exploitation.
We are looking for someone who holds good written and verbal communication skills to be able to write needs assessment for young people with their voice at the heart of their assessment and plan. Record on systems and evidence outcomes and their voice. We are looking for someone with a good working knowledge of accreditation programmes.
