Trustee Opportunities at The Chiltern Centre
Location: Henley-on-Thames | Voluntary Role
Are you passionate about making a lasting difference in your community?
We are seeking two new Trustees to join the Board of The Chiltern Centre as we embark on an exciting new chapter in our journey.
For over 21 years, The Chiltern Centre, a charity at the heart of the Henley-on-Thames community, providing life-changing support to young adults with disabilities. With 27 young adults currently supported—and a growing waiting list—we're preparing to expand in a big way.
We’ve recently been gifted an acre of land at Highlands Park to build a new, purpose-built facility designed specifically for young adults with disabilities. This transformational project will allow us to offer more opportunities and reach more families than ever before.
We’re looking for Trustees who can:
- Bring strategic insight, oversight, and fresh perspectives
- Support and challenge our Senior Leadership Team in shaping our future
- Help steer the organisation through an exciting period of growth and development
Skills We’re Especially Seeking:
- Legal expertise: A qualified solicitor with a broad legal background to advise on a variety of issues affecting people-centred charities
- Building & project management experience: Someone with expertise in construction, procurement, or building project management to support our new development
While this is a voluntary role, the impact is truly rewarding. You'll be part of a dedicated, dynamic team helping young adults and their families live fuller, more independent lives.
