Full Job Description
As a PSI Data Maintainer, you will produce accurate Planned Supply Interruption Carding packs for Electricity North West Customers. To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Produce PSI carding packs in accordance with Guaranteed Standard and COP by interpreting schematic/geographic diagrams received in conjunction with carding pack requests from internal and external engineers.
- To interrogate NMS, MapInfo, QGIS and AMS in preparation of producing carding packs.
- To data cleanse customer MPAN and address data.
- Ensure data is reflected correctly in other appropriate computer systems and databases i.e. AMS & GIS
- Ability to identify potential duplicate outages and more efficient job working by liaison with: Engineers/Planners/Managers/External Contractors.
- To prepare initial carding packs and distribute electronically for checking in a timely manner as well as notifying essential Customers i.e. Network Rail.
- To create final planned shutdown letters and send for distribution.
- Prepare reports for submission to OFGEM.
- To quality check EGS (Electricity Guaranteed Standards) claims
- Answer queries from internal and external parties.
- Carry out all Admin functions for the PSI team
- To act as a further filter for quality assurance and bring any issues to the attention of the Data Manager.
- To assist in the training of new team members.
- To participate and assist in additional tasks on an ad-hoc basis which will support the aims and objectives of the section.
- To update AutoCAD Map 3D, Electricity North West Geographic Information System.
- To support ENW incident management all employees are required to hold a secondary supporting role. This may include inbound/outbound call handing during and post incidents.
To apply for this PSI Data Maintainer role, you will have the knowledge and prior use of an advantage of the following IT systems NMS, QGIS, Autocad (MAP 3d) & AMS. You will also require the following: - Ability to use NMS & QGIS/MAPINFO would be an advantage but not essential.
- Good understanding of symbology standards within electricity distribution.
- Ability to manage own workload whilst being faced with tight timescales for turnaround of packs.
- The postholder will need to be a good communicator and be able to interpret demands from the business.
- To be self motivated and work in a team environment.
- There is a need for high accuracy and attention to detail when producing and checking carding packs.
- Advanced IT/Keyboard skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and be flexible.
- To react quickly on a day to day basis to the demands and delivery timescales of the Data Management Team Leader.
