Full Job Description
Under the direction of the Lead Driver and / or Community Meals Team Manager, to deliver high quality customer focused services that supports the work of this service.,. Duties will typically include delivering hot and cold meals within a prearranged, structured schedule to clients, where needed, plating meals and ensuring a hot / cold drink is available; in addition, checking that the person is well, and reporting any concerns in line with North Somerset procedures. Where a Council vehicle is used, operating fleet vehicles and taking them into the garage as part of a scheduled service plan. Use of own vehicle is supported subject to checks, and a mileage allowance will be paid in line with North Somerset travel policy.
We are looking for caring, compassionate individuals to work in a front facing person focused service within the Community Meals Team. You should be confident in working independently but also a keen team player. Being a clear and strong communicator that offers experience and understanding of supporting people who are older and / or disabled will be beneficial to the role. We are keen to invite interest that can demonstrate transferable skills within your career to date although full training and continuous professional development is offered., This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
A valid Class B driving licence is essential for this role.
