Required for a 1,250 hectare arable family farming business, growing potatoes, sugar beet, vining peas, blackcurrants, mint and combinable crops.
The successful candidate will report to the business owner and be responsible for the day to day management of ten full time members of staff. They will be ambitious, highly motivated, be an excellent communicator, have good leadership skills, an eye for detail and have strong technical knowledge. Key responsibilities will include budgeting, crop planning and recording alongside the management of the potato stores. Some experience of potato husbandry and irrigation would be desirable as would a PA1 & PA2 qualification.
