Full Job Description
You'll be working 37.5 hours a week (ranging between 7am - 3:30pm), working with us 4 days a week and from September 2025, start to attend college 1 day a week to study for level 2 in Horticulture, a course designed for those that are new to horticulture or have basic knowledge and skills. A full Manual UK Driving Licence is desirable but not essential. Duties during the 4 days will include:
- Use of petrol driven equipment for Lawn Cutting & Hedge Pruning
- Weeding and bed maintenance of existing borders
- Shrub pruning as required
- Litter Picking & Sweeping
- Continuous development throughout the apprenticeship programme
Hard working - Self-motivated
- Reliable
- Happy to work in all weather conditions
- IT literate (use of tablet, smart phone apps)
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written (English)
- A strong customer focused approach
- Ability to implement Health and Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices
- Full, manual UK driving license
- Be prepared to undertake a DBS check (We cover the cost of carrying out a DBS check)
