Full Job Description
At Wyre Forest DC we provide some of the most important front-line services to our residents through our Operational Services Teams based in Kidderminster. Maintenance of our fleet to deliver critical operational functions such as Waste, Parks and Open Spaces and Street Scene are part of the core functions of the garage and are at the very heart of our community., We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanic to join our team of HGV mechanics, you will be qualified and experienced in working on a variety of vehicles within tight timescales, ensuring our operational fleet is out on the road and working to a high and safe standard. This important post will enhance the existing team and offers all of the benefits associated with working for local government.,
- Working hours are 37 per week (any 4&5 day working patterns apply from any 7 days) Special working arrangements for Bank Holidays and Christmas working applies.
- Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings
- The post holder must hold a current Class C driving licence .
- This job includes duties that may require a substantial amount of physical effort and mobility on a frequent basis
- We provide a tool allowance to our mechanics
- This is a fixed term 12 month contract
