Full Job Description
Are you pro-active, well organised, disciplined and dynamic with excellent communication and diplomacy skills? We are looking for a high calibre administrator to support His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria.
The Lieutenancy Officer is responsible for arranging visits by members of the royal family to Cumbria and providing full administrative support to the Lord-Lieutenant, Vice Lord-Lieutenant and Deputies for all ceremonial duties, honours and presentations conducted on behalf of his Majesty the King.
You will lead pro-active public communications on the role by actively promoting the Lieutenancy, King's Awards, UK honours and national initiatives.

You will have a good understanding of local government or the public sector and possess excellent ICT skills, including the use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems.
As a Lieutenancy Officer, you will be able to work on your own initiative and be able to prioritise workloads. This is a high-profile role and will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside a range of people both within the Households, Cabinet Office and from other agencies.
Applications will be welcomed from candidates seeking a permanent role, part time role, fixed term 12-month role or from those interested in an internal secondment opportunity from within the council.
