Full Job Description
This role offers a unique opportunity to support the financial stewardship of the parish, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and faithful management of parish resources. Working closely with the Parish Priest and Finance Committee, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing regular reports, and administering the Gift Aid and Planned Giving schemes.,
- Maintaining the parish accounts using the Diocesan OPAS system
- Completing bank reconciliations and preparing monthly management reports
- Administering the Gift Aid programme and liaising with parishioners
- Submitting the Annual Financial Return to the Diocese
- Recording donations from various sources, including online platforms
- Coordinating with volunteers and supporting parish life as required
Hold an AAT qualification (or equivalent) - Have relevant experience with financial accounting systems
- Be highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working with discretion
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to the values of the Church
