Full Job Description
We're offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Finance Apprentice to join our growing team. Based at our Head Office in Barton, you'll study towards a Level 3 or 4 Accountancy Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience across key finance functions. You'll rotate through departments including Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Treasury, Management Accounting, Operations Finance, and Finance Data & Systems. This structured program will build your foundational knowledge and prepare you for a career in finance. Main Responsibilities:
- Process invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and handle payment queries
- Assist in credit control and customer debt management
- Support supplier payments and bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records, including prepayments, accruals, and reporting
- Support capital expenditure reporting and stock counts
- Perform ad-hoc finance tasks across teams In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document. English and Maths GCSEs grade A-C/9-4 or equivalent - Ideally an A level in Accountancy or Business studies
- An ambition to progress to a Professional Qualification
- A passion for numbers and a logical approach to problem solving
- Knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office Suite Desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to self-manage including effective time/ diary management
- Hands on positive attitude
- Ability to develop strong working relationships
