Full Job Description
London or Colchester based - Hybrid working (min 2 days per week) Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems? We are looking for a Finance Operations Manager who strives to improve everything they do and has the courage to challenge the status quo. You will focus on servicing the Group level financial control and reporting requirements and form close working relationships with the wider Finance team, as well as the Finance Directors and Controllers across the Hiscox business units.,
- Support the delivery of high-quality Group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, statutory and regulatory reporting deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders in compliance with IFRS and Solvency II regulatory guidance.
- Proactively manage strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Work alongside the Head of Business Applications to implement change in the function
- Support a continuous improvement culture utilising external insights and best practice
- Be an active member for the Group Financial Control Team
Results driven - This role requires a highly results driven individual with energy and determination to succeed in a very fast paced environment - Relationship builder - this role requires the development of strong relationships with key stakeholders; you need to be agile and flexible in your communication and able to build such relationships quickly
- Resilience - You will need to be resilient in your approach with stakeholders and thrive in challenging situations that others would shy away from
- Problem solving - A pragmatic and logical approach to problem-solving, Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Good technical and financial reporting knowledge within the financial services sector (preferably the insurance sector)
- Good problem solving skills
- Strong control mindset and experience
- Ability to rapidly build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience of working with teams to build engagement and morale Reporting Relationships/ Interactions:
- Reports to the Head of Business Applications
- Maintain constructive and supportive professional relationships including the Finance Senior Leadership team
