Finance Assistant
Location: Lambeth
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent
Hours: 3 days per week
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (pro rata)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a friendly team on a temporary, part-time basis to start next week. This role is based in a supportive SEN school in South London and is ideal for someone looking to contribute to a busy finance office with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Finance Manager with day-to-day financial tasks.
- Managing the purchase ledger.
- Chasing outstanding debtors.
- Checking and reconciling Visa statements.
- Providing occasional cover on reception as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a finance role, ideally with purchase ledger and reconciliations.
- Excellent IT skills; familiarity with PASS/3sys and Access Finance is desirable but not essential, as experience with comparable finance systems will be considered.
- A flexible, hands-on approach and a willingness to support other areas of school administration if needed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
- The position is 3 days per week and could lead to a permanent opportunity for the right person.
