life insurance brandsThe roleThis is a senior leadership role within the Group Financial Reporting team focused on leading on aspects of the production of the Group's external reporting across IFRS and Solvency II, together with analysis of the Group's results across these metrics. The role involves management of the reporting process, coaching / review of work and using subject matter expertise to produce Group reporting outputs.Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the production and analysis of financial and regulatory reporting for the Group, including the running of Group consolidation processes
- Providing coaching to, and reviewing the outputs of, other members of the Group Financial Reporting team
- Providing insight and preparing analysis into the Group's reported results across IFRS and Solvency II under a range of KPIs
- Preparation of accounting position papers for external audit, and documentation of key accounting judgments and estimates for the Board Audit Committee
- Taking responsibility for a robust control environment, overseeing the operation of controls over reporting processes, review and challenge of divisional submissions and the team outputs and driving continuous process improvement with respect to both quality and efficiency
- Managing key stakeholder relationships, such as with life company finance teams, Investor Relations, Group FP&A, and the external auditors.

Qualified accountant with significant post qualified experience within an external reporting-focused role - Financial/regulatory reporting experience gained within a complex financial services business
- Deep subject matter expertise across one or more of the following: IFRS consolidation and listed company reporting, Solvency II reporting and insurance accounting under IFRS 17
- Demonstrable experience in planning and driving completion of large-scale reporting processes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholder relationships, including the leadership and management of more junior team members
