Full Job Description
A bank opportunity has become available within our Income function within the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust Finance Team. This role will support the Head of Income coordinating & delivering the monthly reporting cycle in line with the contractual requirements., Co-ordinate the collection of all activity and cost information to allow calculation of clinical income. Working closely with Information Department, Clinical Coding and clinical teams. Process the activity (monthly) through a clinical income software package to calculate the Trust's clinical income applying the Payment by Results (PbR) rules. Analyse, investigate and resolve financial queries and discrepancies Preparation of monthly reports (internal and external) on the actual v's planned activity and income for the reporting period. This includes a written report on reasons for variances. Liaise with information and clinical colleagues to ensure all necessary data is captured and data quality is refined.
