Full Job Description

We're looking for a Finance Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day financial operations at Chailey Heritage Foundation, a charity supporting children and young people with complex disabilities. You'll oversee our accounts payable and receivable processes, cash flow, VAT, reconciliations, and team leadership - ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and strong financial control across the board.,

  • Leading and developing a small, dedicated team across AP and AR functions
  • Managing payment cycles, credit control, supplier relationships, and internal queries
  • Overseeing reconciliations, VAT returns, fixed assets, and financial controls
  • Monitoring cash flow and producing forecasts for strategic planning
  • Supporting audits and ensuring our systems and policies remain robust
  • Driving improvements and streamlining processes through technology and automation

  • A relevant finance qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) or working towards one
  • Experience leading finance operations within a medium-sized organisation
  • Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, cash flow, and VAT
  • Skilled in managing people, systems, and process change
  • Confident communicator, able to explain financial data to non-finance audiences
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Sage, Access, or similar finance systems (desirable)
