Full Job Description

Part Time / 18.5 Hours / PermanentAre you someone looking for a new opportunity? Why not join our Safeguarding Board Office, a small but dedicated team who support Leicester Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) and Leicester Children Partnership (LSCP). In this role you will be supporting LSAB through administrative functions that ensure the smooth day-to-day running of operations. If you enjoy working in a multiagency environment and have experience of working in an administrative role then this could be the position for you.This is a part-time, permanent post working 18.5 hours per week from Monday to Wednesday. You'll have flexibility in hybrid working being both office based, at Town Hall or working remotely from home to suit business needs.What you'll be doingIt shouldn't come as a surprise that this role will involve a lot of administrative tasks however, not one day will ever be the same in this varied role. Working to support LSAB, you'll ensure the Board and its subgroups run
smoothly by organising and co-ordinating a large number of meetings. You'll attend said meetings, take minutes, and track actions. For more complex meetings, tracking actions will cover sensitive and/or confidential topics for example, safeguarding adults reviews. In these instances, and those alike, it will be your responsibility to ensure that these are reported on in a manner that's in accordance with relevant policies.In addition, you'll process payment of orders/invoices and assist the Board Manager to administer and monitor allocated financial cost centres, monitor budgets, and report discrepancies. Utilising telephone communicates and e-mail, you'll deal with complex customer enquiries and point customers in the right direction of those they need. As and when directed, you'll also communicate more widely through our intranet and internet sites where relevant, producing and circulating updates, notices and learning materials.What you'll needAs someone with experience in an carrying
out administrative takes, you'll have excellent minute-taking skills and the ability to support meetings. You'll showcase a good understanding of the importance of customer care and be a confident communicator who can utilise good verbal and written communication skills to share information. As an analytical thinker, you'll be able to use your own initiative and have confidence in your own convictions when resolving and responding to a variety of enquiries. With strong organisational skills, you'll be able to work under pressure, ensuring telephone enquiries and e-mails are answered in an efficient manner. Due to the nature of this role, you'll have proficient IT skills to carry out general administrative tasks, maintain records and databases and produce simple reports to aid service delivery.
