A vacancy has arisen for a Transport Planner to join our team within our contract at Killingholme. The role briefly encompasses the following:

• Ensure efficient client service is maintained
• Organise own fleet and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Look at ways to continually improve service.
• Identify and develop new opportunities, Materials Handling expertise, offering efficient and optimal solutions for all bulk handling requirements
• Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance and Engineering
• Operation and Maintenance of Material Handling Plants

• Reactive and proactive in service / operations to ensure no disruption.

• Ability to work independently and on own initiative
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of the Road Transport Industry and UK road network
• Ability to use computerised vehicle planning schedules
• Able to work within a small established team
• Ideally possess a IOSH Managing Safety Certificate
• Ideally possess a Certificate of Professional Competence (although not essential)
• Previous experience of working in a transport office environment (although not essential as full training will be given)
