As an Ecological Consultant, you will be working on a variety of critical projects supporting our clients in the low carbon economy to deliver renewable energy projects, nature-based solutions, biodiversity net gain advice, habitat and peatland restoration and nature conservation solutions. Your role will include:

Acting as Project Manager for small/medium ecology projects awarded to the company.
Organising and undertaking ornithology, habitat and protected surveys and recording to a high technical standard
Input to bids for new work
Provision of ECoW role across a range of construction projects.
Manage sub-contractors and ensure that deliverables are provided to the standard required.
Liaise with statutory consultees and maintain good relationships with clients.
Producing quality factual and technical reporting output, adhering to deadlines.
Working in a safe, accurate, timely and effective manner.

Are you an established Ecologist with 1-2 years' experience looking to gain wider industry experience across a range of technical disciplines and sectors, in an inspiring and supportive place to work?, A BSc or MSc in a relevant subject, with 1-2 years' experience.
Demonstratable experience of the main provisions of legislation and the planning system.
Demonstratable experience of relevant wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies.
Good report-writing skills with attention to technical detail, in both recording and transcribing/checking survey data.
Excellent communications skill, both verbally and in writing.
Holding protected species survey licences and membership of CIEEM would be an advantage.
A willingness to work in remote locations and, at times, staying away from home during the working week.
