Introduction

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised Business Administration Apprentice to join our small team. This varied role combines order administration, customer communication and practical warehouse duties with opportunities to develop skills in e-commerce, marketing, commercial research and artificial intelligence.

Garden Oasis is an online-only garden center based in Shenstone, Staffordshire, that has been operating since February 2005.

Business Model and Operations
Online-Only: The company operates without traditional sprawling out-of-town retail shops.
Direct Shipping: They send most products straight from UK manufacturers to customers, which helps cut storage costs and lower prices.
Location: Their registered office and small showroom (which displays a limited range of items like gates and railings rather than full stock) is at Unit 34, Birchbrook Industrial Park, Lynn Lane, Shenstone, WS14 0DJ.

Products: They sell outdoor living and gardening goods, including sheds, greenhouses, planters, water features, gates, railings, fence panels, paving slabs, and lawnmowers.

What You'll Do

Processing new customer orders accurately and efficiently
Picking and packing customer orders from our small warehouse
Booking courier collections and producing shipping labels
Providing customers with updates about the progress of their orders
Responding promptly and professionally to order update requests received by email
Liaising with suppliers and couriers to resolve delivery, availability and supply issues
Updating stock availability information on the Garden Oasis website
Receiving, unloading, unpacking and checking incoming deliveries
Keeping the packing office and warehouse clean, neat and well organised
Undertaking competitor price comparisons and recording the results accurately
Assisting the marketing team with creating and setting up new products on the Garden Oasis website
Entering and checking product information, including prices, descriptions, specifications, images and stock details
Using company-approved artificial intelligence tools to help complete administrative, research and marketing tasks efficiently and accurately
Reviewing and checking AI-assisted work carefully to ensure that information is accurate, appropriate and consistent with company requirements
Maintaining accurate customer, order, delivery, product and stock records

This is a varied and practical role within a friendly, family-run business.
