Introduction

Are you looking for a career in childcare? Cygnets of Henley Ltd RG9 1RR are recruiting for an apprentice practitioner. You will be ensuring the educational, social, physical, emotional, health and welfare needs of the children are always met. During the apprenticeship, you will complete an Early Years Educator Level 3 standard.

About the Employer

Cygnets of Henley Nursery was opened in 1997 and is situated the grounds of Valley Road Primary School. We are a family run setting, we value our relationships with parents and carers and together helping children to grow in confidence and develop through the early years development stage, we have regular tracking meetings with parents.

Our aim is to provide a warm, safe, happy and welcoming environment and one in which each child receives stimulation appropriate to his/her own particular age and stage of development.

What You'll Do

Following appropriate policies, procedures and systems ensuring the educational, social, physical, emotional, health and welfare needs of the children are always met.
To become involved in children’s activities to stimulate and extend their learning.
To demonstrate sensitivity toward children and families within the facility.
Assisting in the admission and induction of new children.
Assisting in the maintenance of all necessary records to meet internal, E.Y.D.C.P and Ofsted requirements.
To take an active role in the promotion of excellent health and safety practices.
To respond effectively to any health and safety issues that may arise and report any necessary matters.
To participate in training and meetings as requested by the management team.
Performing any other duties commensurate with the general nature of the position requested by the management team.

Working Arrangements

Working Week: Setting is open Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 6.00pm. Working hours 4 days per week 8.00am - 6.00pm. Shifts will be on a rota basis.
