What You'll Do

Learn to safely set and operate specialist CNC manufacturing machinery.
Set up, load and unload machines ready for production.
Inspect finished products using measuring equipment and visual checks.
Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
Change machine tooling under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
Prepare products for storage, packaging or dispatch.
Report any faults, defects or quality issues to supervisors.
Follow health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
Learn to use company IT systems where required.
Complete your apprenticeship training while developing valuable manufacturing and engineering skills.

Training Outcome

Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent Machine Operator role with Hogley Brothers. As your skills and experience develop, you'll have opportunities to take on greater responsibility, learn additional machinery and processes, gain further industry-recognised qualifications, and progress into more senior manufacturing or supervisory roles.
