We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Nurse to join the Primary Care Team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby. HMP Onley is a male prison and has a population of 980 males. As a Substance Misuse Nurse, you will work closely with other members in the team and will be based in the Healthcare department and some wing based work, We are looking for previous prison experience HMP Onley Offers:

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing
Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

Registered nurse with current NMC Adult / Mental Health
Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
Experience of working with opiate dependant patients.
Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £43,609 - £49,175 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
