Main Duties and Requirements

Experience of working with children and young people and understanding of the issues faced by those in care.

Ability to work a 3-week rolling rota comprising 7 24-hour shifts (09:00-09:30 the following day), including sleep-ins; 1 weekend off in every 3.

Promoting, safeguarding and protecting the welfare of our young people.

Establishing and maintaining positive and trusting relationships with our young people.

Work well as part of a team and be able to accept direction and guidance.

Encouraging the development of the individual interests of our young people.

Qualifications and Requirements

Hold Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People\'s Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to work towards a Level 4 diploma.

Have a full UK driving licence and car, as the role will involve travelling.

Excellent communication and listening skills.

Be willing to learn and work well as part of a small team.

Be willing to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position (paid for by the employer).

Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work or Youth Work would be advantageous.
