Introduction

New Birth Day Nursery are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for early childhood development to join their friendly team. Your role will be supporting children aged 3 months to 5 years. You will be a key person for a small group of children, making learning fun and enjoyable, whilst maintaining close communication with parents and carers.

New Birth Day Nursery offers childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years across multiple locations in East London, including Royal Docks, Stepney, and Barkingside. It provides a curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on a "challenging, open ended provision" designed to foster exploration, learning, and development at the child's own pace.

What You'll Do

To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met
To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members
To advise the manager of any concerns e.g. health and well-being of children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary
To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences
To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures
To actively participate at team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings
To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development
