Designing and building intuitive, accessible user interfaces for laboratory staff, pathologists, and clinicians.
Translating complex clinical workflows into simple, effective digital experiences.
Partnering with backend engineers and international stakeholders to deliver seamless end-to-end products.
Building robust, scalable, and reusable front-end components and design patterns.
Raising issues early, proposing practical solutions, and taking ownership through to successful delivery.
Shaping, designing, and delivering diagnostic platform capabilities aligned to business priorities and customer value.
Building reusable code and shared libraries that strengthen the long-term architecture of the platform.
Integrating third-party services to extend platform capability.
Championing new technologies and approaches that improve productivity, quality, and maintainability.
Proactively diagnosing and resolving technical challenges quickly and methodically.
Defining test plans, writing automated tests, and conducting manual testing where required.
Supporting security reviews, audits, and penetration testing, and implementing resulting recommendations.
Mentoring and supporting engineers across the team to raise technical standards and overall team impact.
Sharing expertise and promoting engineering best practice across the team.
Contributing to Agile delivery and a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborating to plan, prioritise, and deliver work with clarity, discipline, and accountability.

A minimum of four years experience in a software engineering role
Practical experience working with modern CI/CD tools
Experience with AWS and Terraform
Ability to build RESTful APIs in JVM languages such as Scala or Kotlin
Approaches building web frontends using React and TypeScript
Experience conducting or contributing to user research
Excellent problem-solving ability, analytical thinking and strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to mentor junior team members (no line management required)
