Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures
Identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications by
Optimize database performance and efficiency by evaluating and recommending new
Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and
Execute regular database maintenance tasks, including database defragmentation,
Design, install, configure and maintain database systems, including monitoring,
Provide a seamless flow of information by keeping the database running smoothly.
Ensure data security and integrity, including implementation of access controls,
Support ongoing database operations to support application and customer activities

5+ years of experience in database administration or in a similar role
Experience in database backup, disaster recovery planning, performance optimization
Extensive knowledge with container orchestration technologies including Docker and
Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Postgres and MSSQL
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quick solutions to issues
Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies
Strong knowledge of version control systems and hands-on experience with Git, Experience in an on-call rotation
Additional database platform experience ( DB2, Oracle, etc.. )
Previous experience as a mentor or adviso

This role operates on a hybrid model, with a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration at our Solihull location, specifically, working in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
