Introduction

An excellent opportunity to join Chaucer Foods as a Warehouse Operative Apprentice. You will gain hands-on experience within a busy warehouse environment, learning stock control, goods receipt and dispatch, production supply, health and safety procedures, and warehouse systems while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

What You'll Do

As part of the warehouse team, you will:

Load and unload goods, checking for damaged or missing items.
Pick and replenish stock for production requirements.
Return products to stock following production use.
Carry out stock checks and assist with stock control activities.
Update warehouse paperwork and systems accurately.
Move stock safely using manual handling techniques and warehouse equipment.
Support waste management and recycling processes.
Follow health and safety, quality, environmental and hygiene procedures.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards through a clean-as-you-go approach.
Work closely with colleagues across the warehouse and production teams.
Assist with goods received, storage and dispatch operations.
Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business.

Training Outcome

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice may have the opportunity to progress into a permanent Warehouse Operative role and further develop their skills within Chaucer Foods' warehousing and logistics operations.
