About this Role

Our School and Trust:

Access for all to high quality Teaching and Learning is a priority, with our Year 11 and 13 cohorts excelling and achieving well above national average.
Staff and senior leaders bring energy and motivation to the school to ensure standards of excellence, and a culture where all students and staff are given breadth of opportunity and are valued. We focus on a research based, impactful approach to school improvement.
As part of The Charter School Educational Trust we benefit from The Charles Dickens Research School, The London South Teaching Hub and working with a team of schools committed to excellence in education in South-East London.

We are looking for a colleague who:

Is a skilled, versatile and driven Science Teacher with a passion for delivering an excellent Science provision to students across Years 7 to 13.
Consistently models excellent practice and has students' academic progress and personal development at the core of their professional motivation.
Wants an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant, diverse and growing organisation.
Is keen to work collaboratively within the wider Science team.

In return, you will get:

The chance to work in a highly successful and positive Science Team which achieves excellent results.
The opportunity to work with colleagues from across a diverse and growing Trust.
A professionally stimulating and collaborative working environment in a school that prioritises staff well-being, support and professional development.

The Charter Schools Educational Trust is committed to equality and diversity and to being a family where everyone can be themselves. As an already diverse school we actively seek to be representative of our local communities, including gender, ethnicity, religion, age, and all other aspects of diversity. We actively encourage applications from diverse backgrounds to join our team.

We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, and staff networks to provide a supportive environment in the workplace where members can receive peer to peer support.

The Charter Schools Educational Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. References will be sought and the successful applicant will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Whilst the closing date for this vacancy is 28 October 2026, we reserve the right to interview and appoint candidates before this date. Therefore, early applications are encouraged.
